In the winter of 2007-2008, six friends, roommates, and lovers in Toronto, Canada, decided to start playing music together in an indie rock band. Inspired by Canadian literary genius Mordecai Richler – and undeterred by their lack of formal training or the fact that Barney’s Version is a shitty name for a band – they settled on Hooded Fang. They released a bunch of singles, two EPs and four full-length albums between 2008 and 2017. Then they kind of disappeared.
